Shahin Assadnia, MD

Dr. Shahin Assadnia has over 25 years of experience and is board certified in vascular surgery by the American Board of Surgery. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of artery and vein issues and diseases. Dr. Assadnia graduated from the Medical College of Virginia at Virginia Commonwealth University, and studied vascular surgery at Penn State University, after which he worked in Knoxville with Premier Surgery.

 

Dr. Assadnia and his wife loved East Tennessee, so they decided to build their life in Morristown, starting with East Tennessee Vascular Center. Born in Persia, Dr. Assadnia always knew he would be a doctor. Both his father and grandfather worked in the medical field. He loves the challenge and complexity of being a vascular surgeon, but he finds the real reward in helping his patients thrive and ultimately have a better quality of life with successful management of their vascular disorders. He is especially passionate about offering patients the ability to be treated locally, and spending quality time with them, so they are more comfortable with their care.

 

When he is out of the clinic, Dr. Assadnia can be found playing tennis, riding horses and going on family vacations with his wife and three children.

*First Place Presentation at the Toledo Surgical Society on "Strain Differences in Neointimal Hyperplasia in the Rat."

*Member of the Hamblen County School Board
